TREASURES OF NAYARIT
To the north of Puerto Vallarta,
along the North coast of Banderas Bay, and beyond,
lies the state of Nayarit, home to the best
beaches in the Puerto Vallarta area, and some
of the most charming communities. This
bus tour will take you to the relatively untouristed
towns of Bucerias, Punta Mita, and Sayulita.
The first stop is the famous
Mauricios Restaurant, where you'll enjoy a delicious
snack. Then it's on to Bucerias, for a
guided sightseeing tour of the small village
including a visit to a tequila distillery, before
continuing on along the north coast of the bay,
where panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean are
almost constant, to the exclusive retreat of
Punta Mita. You'll pass where the movie
stars live and the new Litbu exclusive gated
community. Continuing on past the secluded
vistas of Punta Mita, your next stop is the
small fishing and surfing town of Sayulita.
You'll spend three hours
in Sayulita, where you can enjoy looking around
the town, enjoy a delicious seafood lunch (optional),
shop in the local markets, or even try your
luck at surfing (optional)! The north
coast is a true paradise, so natural and isolated
from the tourist zones of Puerto Vallarta, it
makes a great day trip.
