LAS MARIETAS ISLANDS
This is a wonderful snorkeling excursion with
the professionals at Ecotours, one of the premier ecotourism
companies in Puerto Vallarta. Unlike nearly all other trips to
the Marietas Islands in Puerto Vallarta, this tour puts in at
Punta Mita, leaving less than half the boat time of the other
tours. It also gives you about twice the snorkeling time. Travel
in small groups with great knowledgeable guides and discover an
underwater paradise. You'll start with a 45 minute panoramic
drive to Punta Mita, along the north coast of Banderas Bay,
highlighting the North Shore’s points of interest, history,
flora and fauna of the region along the ride.
Next you'll have breakfast while you're given
an introduction to the trip. Then it's a 25 minute boat ride to
Marietas Islands, where we’ll snorkel in two spots, one in each
island, observe the diversity of the underwater ecosystem and
rock formations for approximately one and a half hours. Then
it's back to the beach, where we’ll have time to enjoy a
delicious lunch at a seaside restaurant on El Anclote beach and
relax for a while before returning to Puerto Vallarta.
Runs: Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, at
8:30AM from Puerto Vallarta, 9:00AM from Marina Vallarta, and
9:10 AM from Nuevo Vallarta.
End of the tour is at 3:30 PM.
