This is the real deal - you'll be certified to scuba dive in open water anywhere in the world to 60 feet by PADI, the world's largest and most respected diving organization. What better place to get certified than Puerto Vallarta where the water is warm and there are lots of fun things to see! Once you're certified as an Open Water Diver, you can do any of our scuba diving trips, dive back home when you return, or on any future vacation anywhere! The expert PADI instructors will work with you to teach you the fundamentals of scuba diving, first in confined and shallow open water, to make sure you are ready to dive for real. Once you're ready, you'll make 4 open water training dives over 2 days, after which you'll be certified as an Open Water Diver. OUR ADVICE: Do your classroom studies back home and choose the referral course here in Puerto Vallarta to maximize your vacation time. You'll Need:
Kids: Ages 10 and up. Kids age 10-14 will receive a Junior Open Water Diver Certification. Kids 10-11 years will only be certified to dive with a parent or divemaster and up to depths of 40 feet (12m). After turning 15 years old, kids can upgrade to a full open water certification by simply paying a registration fee and getting a new PADI card.
