MAYAHUEL TEMAZCAL SPA
Temazcal is an ancient
tradition among the prehispanic indigenous
people of Puerto Vallarta, still popular
today. It is a ceremonial cleansing of
mind, body and spirit, used for centuries in
Mexico for everything from recovering after
battles to healing the sick or for helping
women to give birth.
On the Mayahuel tour you
will immerse yourself in this deep cultural
experience. The temazcal in ancient cultures
represented the womb of the mother earth,
where the four elements - earth, water, air
and fire - are used to purify and balance
your inner being. Ancestral ritual,
aromatherapy, ancestral music, and
hydrotherapy are combined to promote energy,
peace and clarity and to bring you into
harmony with your feelings, emotions and
soul.
The Mayahuel temezcal spa
is located deep in the jungle south of
Puerto Vallarta, at the site of the Arnold
Schwarzenegger film "Predator", where
we can become one with the local flora and
fauna. This 2 hour spa treatment is
unlike any you've experienced before.
It is filled with culture, tradition, and
spiritual enlightenment - a real insight
into the ancient Nahuatl culture that still
permeates the remote areas of Puerto
Vallarta today. A truly unique
experience!
