Hidden Mexico Jeep
Tour up into the Sierra Madre on March 19th. We
are still talking about it on a daily basis as it
was the absolute best day of our week in the PV

animals, culture and history of Mexico. Honestly,

took the Sierra
Madre Jeep Safari tour two weeks ago, and we
absolutely loved it! Our guide, David, couldn’t
have been more courteous and he was very
knowledgeable about the area’s animals and
plants. David took us deep into the Sierra Madre
mountains, through little towns we would never
have seen otherwise, and frequently stopped the
Jeep to hop out and show us a particularly
interesting tree or plant, even letting us taste
tamarind right off the tree and showing us a
type of berry that the locals make a type of
coffee from. We saw iguanas, learned about the
different types of trees in the area, stopped by
a beautiful Mexican cemetery, and also stopped
in a tiny town to enjoy delicious, freshly-made
tortillas. We met some of the children of the
town and saw their pre-school. To wrap up the
day, we drove through several plantations while
David explained some of the economic differences
between those who work in agriculture and those
who work in the tourist trade. What a great
tour, and what a fantastic guide!! We couldn’t
have enjoyed it more, and would eagerly
recommend this tour to anyone interested in
seeing what’s beyond Puerto Vallarta! Thanks for

"My wife and I,
along with six of our friends took the "Black
Wind" to Yelapa
and we could not have had a better experience.
We snorkeled at Los Arcos, and fished along the
way; catching a couple of skipjack tuna. When
we arrived at Yelapa, the local restaurant
cooked the tuna for me and it was probably the
best fish I've ever eaten (of course, the fact
that I caught it made it taste better!). The
beach was fantastic and the hike to the
waterfall was a great look at how simple life
can be. Our tour guide, Nicholas, was full of
information and his familiarity with the locals
made the experience comfortable and enjoyable.
David, the boat captain, did not speak much but
knew where the fish where and handled the boat
extremely well. If we ever make it back to
Puerto Vallarta my wife and I would gladly make

We were a group of 6 people. He brought us to
Yelapa in a motor
boat and showered us with special blessings for

at least 5 times to bring almonds for the

information about Yelapa and Mexico in general.
He was constantly smiling and engaging in
conversation with us. He brought us to see some

day and guided us right into the van AFTER he

did the private
hiking tour of Mundo Nogalito while in
Puerto Vallarta on a cruise. Having been on
literally dozens of excursions, this ranks as
one of our very favorites. One of the
great things about this excursion is that it is
a private one. Our group (four people) were all
pretty experienced hikers and in very good
physical condition. Because of that, we could
go at our pace and not be held back.
Second, the guide, Alex, was phenomenal. He was
fun, funny, and knowledgeable. He was at the
appointed meeting place (right across from where
our ship docked) and was on time. We enjoyed
not only the hike, but also his insight of
Puerto Vallarta as we drove to Mundo Nogalito.
Third, Mundo Nogalito was simply awesome.
Despite the rain, we had a great hike in an
incredible place. Finally, we had lunch there.
Do NOT, under any circumstances, pass up the
Mahi Mahi cooked in a banana leaf. It is
without a doubt the best fish plate any of us
had ever tasted. Incredible. Thanks to every

expertise and professional skills. Along with
another couple, we took the bus trip to
San Sebastian,
and the guide, Victor, was by far the most

to Mexican history, sociology, agriculture,
economics, flora and fauna. Over the course of
the day, he kept up a continuous conversation
with us. He was witty, friendly and intelligent,
and absolutely knew something important about
everything that we passed by on the way there

something more to explain to us, and he
seemed to delight in revealing every fascinating
new detail. When we arrived at our
destination, we discovered he also knew every
person in San Sebastian, from the smallest
children to the oldest citizens, and as much as
the local historian about the village's history.
He provided informed opinions on such details as
the Revolution, Pancho Villa and Zapata, silver
mining in Mexico, agricultural practices, the
conquest of Mexico by the Spaniards, wages and
economic migration. He walked us through the
daily life of a coffee plantation and introduced
his many friends to us. As you can tell,
I've never been so impressed by a tour guide.
Victor should either be teaching at the
University or he should run for President. The

was wonderful, and the whole excursion was a

fishing experience we
had this past Thursday, the boat was
clean, the captain (Lalo) was very experienced
and his first mate (Pepe) was as good as it
gets. In 10 hours we were able to bring in 2
sailfish 125lb# and 2 bullhead mahi- mahi each
weighing in around 40 to 50lbs. The bottom line
is these guys know where to find the fish. It
was a first rate fishing experience due to the

"I thought I'd drop
you a line about our
fishing trip
on Tuesday, 13 November. We were picked
up at the Paradise Village Marina in Nuevo Vallarta
at about 7:05 AM by Lolla and Jose' in their well
equipped fishing boat. We quickly traveled
to Corbetena for our fishing experience. While on
the way, Jose' set the bait and readied the lines.
On the previous evening, I had called and verified
lunch and ordered sodas, water and beer. In
addition, we brought some snacks and extra sodas
that were properly stowed by Jose'. In case
you're wondering, Lolla, the captain, spent his
time piloting the boat, watching his upper lines
and looking for fish. Fishing lines hit the
water at 8:30. The first dorado hit at 8:45
and, with the help and guidance of Jose', my 14
year old grandson pulled in his first ever salt
water fish. 15 minutes later my 12 year old
granddaughter pulled in another dorado. Then
my wife caught another dorado. This one weighed
close to 50 pounds! By 9:30, we had 3 good
sized fish! Later in the morning we hooked
a sailfish, but the fighter spit out the hook before
we could set it. Late morning we caught another
dorado. Shortly after noon we hooked a 60+
pound dorado and that was landed by my granddaughter.
Before we could even get all the lines back in the
water, Bam! another one! Then things got slow
in the early afternoon when all the fish went for
siesta. We were just about ready to give up
when a 120 pound sailfish went for an afternoon
snack! Had a great time fighting this one!
Jose' lost his club trying to stun the fish when
we finally got it alongside so he used his fist
to knock it out! Trolled back towards the
Marietas islands with no more luck but what a day!

most fantastic time when we visited the
Los
Veranos Canopy December 20! Not
only did the zip lines meet every expectation but
the staff were very funny and entertaining yet professional.
Another added plus great pictures and DVD to remember
your time, worth every peso! Our only wish
was to spend more time relaxing and drinking at
the restaurant, there wasn't enough time to even
test the water, but what little time we did have
a drink and a bite to eat. I can't say anything
negative from start to finish FANTASTIC!!

"I just wanted to thank
you for the wonderful time that we had when we went
on our Mexican Riviera cruise. The ship offerings
were expensive and not that appropriate for my husband
and me with our handicaps. I talked with Maricela,
and she was so helpful in finding us tours that
would work with our port schedules. Your
Dive Shop in Cabo San Lucas provided us with
a great snorkeling tour, and we got an unexpected
ride to see a sea lion colony. In
Mazatlan,
we loved our tour guide and saw lots of the city.
The absolute best was the last - our
Pegaso Chartering whale
watching tour. The sailboat was lovely and the
guides were fast at spotting whales. They kept us
in drinks all day, and they served a yummy lunch.
We plan to take the same cruise in 2009 and hope
we can go with Pegaso again. Again, thank
you for all your help in making our vacation the

watching the DVD---Gary did an amazing job of capturing
all the highlights (and also the lowlights....like
the three embarrassing times I screwed up and got
stuck---next time, I'm getting across ALL the way

really educational as far as learning good technique...very
PBS! ). The camera work is terrific and made me
feel like I was back up in the mountains again (and
I realllly wish I was---this is one of the few trips
that I've seriously not wanted to come back home
from... I'm sure that all of your guides are
fantastic, but I hope to have the same crew next

Jens first time fishing in Puerto Vallarta, she
enjoyed herself so much she is planning on returning,
hopefully next year. This was my first time
fishing with Lalo & Pepe (Team Redbone) on the Totoaba,
We had a great day of catching Roosterfish, Bonito
and Jack Crevalle. Thanks for everything!

"I would like to tell
you that our fishing trip
on 1/27 was awesome. Juan (older) and Juan
(younger) were great. The younger Juan worked
incredibly hard unhooking the fish and getting the
poles ready for the next round of catches.
He was just running around the boat working his
butt off!! We caught 38 fish that day – often
two would be on a single line at a time. It
was a great day. I’ll send a few pictures
of the trip next week (I still haven’t unloaded
the camera). Juan (the younger) also filleted
four of the fish for us and we grilled them on our
hotel’s grill that evening – very good." -

"We booked a
private driver
in PVR on March 20 through your company. The
directions to meet our driver, Manuel, at the Soriana
were perfect. When we got in the car, we asked
Manuel to just be our guide and show us whatever
he thought we should see. He was hesitant
and said that his English wasn't very good but that
he would try. Well, his English was EXCELLENT,
and he was a fantastic guide! It was, by far,
our favorite day from our cruise. Manuel took us
all around the city, up into the hills, and out
to Mismaloya Beach. He joined us for lunch
at a little restaurant called Los Arbilitos which
was delicious. He then helped us negotiate
for our purchases at the flea market (and told the
vendors that he will not accept commission) and
then took us for local Bing's ice cream. It
was a fabulous day and we were so grateful to have

"Hello from Canada!!
Just wanted to leave some feedback regarding our
Princess
Yelapa - Majahuitas/Yelapa Beach tour booked
through your company. First let me tell you
this was our very first trip to Mexico and Puerto
Vallarta was our first experience of Mexico.
We arrived there on a cruise and PV was our first
port. Needless to say...we were feeling a
little out of our element and were very nervous
being in a country where we did not know enough
of the language. Once we found our way through
the Marina and paid the port fee...we were shown
the way to Yelapa Princess. On the way to
our first stop.....Majahuitas snorkeling....we were
still feeling a bit uncomfortable (our own insecurities)
but the men on the boat were so welcoming that it
soon disappeared. I wish I would have written
down their names. The older gentleman was
so kind and gracious...and made the best margaritas
I have ever tasted...(would I be able to get the
recipe how they make them?) My little 3 year
old made some friends at Yelapa beach with a beautiful
Mexican family.....it took a 3 year old to show
us that you can get past a language barrier very
easily!! Back on the boat and on the way back to
the marina was the best time....great music and
great dancing....the one gentleman that met us at
the Marina and showed us to the boat,...wow can
he dance!! I have never seen a man of that
size, move like that before!! He was great!
All in all....this was a great experience for my
whole family. Thank You and May I send a thank
you to the crew as well. (they might remember
us as the uptight Canadians LOL) July 16/08.

Canopy tour.
I wish that we were on the video more to show our
friends how fun the experience was.
My only suggestion is that at the end you could
ask people if they wanted to go again, for maybe
partial price (just a marketing suggestion)
and I for one would have gone again....I loved the
experience. I would have been more adventurous
the 2nd time around (hanging upside down...) and
that would have been a great time since I was already
there to get me back up in the trees.....think about
it. I will recommend this tour to everyone that

Veranos Canopy Tour last Wednesday and
we had a great time. The zip lines were amazing.
The guides made it very enjoyable and added to the
fun at every opportunity. Relaxing by the
river afterwards with a shot of the "local moonshine"
and a few margaritas finished out a great day.
The water slides were a bit painful, but definitely
