RIO CUALE HIKE

The River Cuale bisects Puerto Vallarta. It starts high up in the Sierra Madre and runs down through Vallarta, splitting in the middle of town to give us the island, and disappears into the Pacific Ocean. When we speak of the town, we always refer to south and north of the bridges that span the Cuale. THIS TOUR IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE It moves rapidly in rainy season, and dries to a trickle just before the rain begins again each year. This trip takes us upriver, through the beautiful jungle, and up to the Salto Waterfalls. It's about a 12km (7.5 mile) hike, suitable for the entire family. You set the pace. Cruise Passengers: Yes!
