Get off the beaten track and delve into the wilds outside of Puerto Vallarta.  After a short drive to the base of the mountain, we'll begin hiking across a river and start our climb into the Sierra Madre.  Your expert naturalist guide will teach you about the different types of plants and animals that are unique to this region as you pass through rural Puerto Vallarta.

We will pass an old ranch deep in the hills where an old man tends to his land in the traditional Mexican fashion, before arriving at beautiful Cascada Salto, a lovely cascading waterfall cutting through the jungle-draped hillsides.  We can swim in the fresh waters in the pool below, very refreshing after a nice hike.  We'll take a break here to enjoy, take photos and eat lunch before hiking back to Puerto Vallarta.
